Why does my dual channel ram show up as single channel under CPU-Z? Is there any way to make it run as dual channel?

Also, my mobile processor doesn't have the 'mobile' designation under CPU-Z either.

Thanks.

You may have to put it in certain DIMMS. Or there might be a setting in your BIOS. Check your motherboard manual.

Many mobos don't support dual channel, if you have a s754 A64 it does not. Also, it almost always has to go in specific slots.

Read your manual, maybe it'll say you have to put in other slots than the first two. I have four slots and I put mine in first and third to maintain the dual channel.

I just tried slots 1 and 3 instead of 1 and 2, but to no avail. The manual says I have to use slot 1, so there are no other options. Still showing up as single channel...

You should not post this in multiple forums. That's a bozo no-no around here. I've replied to your post in the Technical Support Forum, which is where this belongs.
