RAM???

I would seriously doubt you'll ever need more than a gig of RAM. 1 gig may be useful for editing video while 512 megs will suffice for HTPC (TV) functions. Regular office tasks will seldom need more than 256 megs. I'm not much of a gamer, but I believe a gig is more than enough for gaming too.

I use my rig a lot for video editing and have never seen the RAM threshold being even approached with the gig I've got. There's always been at least 256 megs of RAM unused, no matter what I load it up with.

Even though I use crucial myself and am happy with it I would go with corsair because of the price.
^I would not go for 2G as well. 1G seems enough for most tasks now.
