Hey all...

Currently trying to build my first system and I have a question that I cannot seem to narrow down the best answer.

I'm going to use either the AMD64 3000+ or 3200+... still trying to decide if I want to kick in the extra 40 bucks for the 3200.

The main question is about the RAM.

I want to have 1gig of RAM, but should that be split into 2x512 or just one stick?

I really am not sure which would be better.


There's SO many choices for this stuff that it's really getting confusing.
 
can you list your system specs?

depending on what type of board you have, if it has dual channel DIMM slots
then I would go with 2 sticks of 512MB
at least PC3200 if you can afford it.
I like Corsair brand.
