Hey I have listened to what So said and I decided to go value RAMa try. I don't know whether I should get 2X512mb of ram 1X 1024 MB of Ram http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-145-480&depa=1

Also is the above RAM good?

That RAM looks fine. If your mobo supports dual-channel memory than get 2x512. It will be faster that way.

yes but getting the kit is dumb they are just matched pairs
just order the same ram of a single 512 2 times thats all and save yourself 7 bucks

All right i'll do what denisaj suggested, but anyone know if this RAM is good enough if I want to overclock 200 mhrz? Or do I have to get PC3500=(

What happens wit dual channel if I use three slot?

If I get an Athlon 64 3200+ and get a MSI K8n Neo pLatinum or the new asus that has the nofrce 250 GB chipset, will I be able to usee all three slots. If I get 2X 512 I might want to add a gigabyte stick (in like a year) so I can have 2 gigabytes will it run at DDR 400 speeds? I heard that f use all three slots it goes to ddr 333. Also is the RAM above goood enough for a 200 mhrz overclock?

Look at this RAM. It's cheaper and runs slightly faster timings.

As for upgrading, I have heard that you get latency issues when running with all slots filled. This is for Athlon XP, I'm not sure if it applies to A64. Worst case scenario, you sell your 512MBX2 sticks after you get the gig, so you can get another gig.

What specs for your comp are you looking at? You've had so many posts about hardware, I have no idea what you're getting or if you're ever going to buy anything 😀

Amd Athlon 64 3200+ newcastle
Msi k8n neo platinum or the new asus based on the nforce 250 GB
You'll get the full deal when i'm done =). I'm almost done I just need to find optical drives, PSU's, speakers, keyboard/mouse,printer, and then maybe some headphones. And maybe some other stuff I don't know right off the bat.
