Ram - whats the fastest I can run on this chipset?

I have a Dell Optiplex GX620 with a chipset i945G/GZ that can take up to 4gb ram at work. My question is, whats the fastest DDR2 ram it can take. Right now, CPU-Z shows it at PC2-4300, but since we are upgrading, I want the fastest we can get (for performance purposes).

I have a collegue who has Dell Optiplex GX280 with a chipset i915P/915G that can also take up to 4GB, and we want to know the same for it as well, the fastest ram possible for it.

Please let me know!

The 945 chip is used in micro boards. My Asus VM LD micro will run only DDR2 and will support speeds up to 667 mhz. I have 4 x 512 OCZ Gold PC5400 667 mhz. running well over 700 mhz. The 945 will not support DDR as far as I know. My ECS micro 915 chip runs PC3200 400 mhz. It's currently mothballed. Then I have my Intel micro ATI Radeon Express chip board I built last night (again). The ATI Radeon Xpress runs my 2 x 512 PC3200 Kingston at 2.5-3-3-6, but only after I did a BIOS update could I set the RAM timings. 8)

The i915 will not run Intel pentium D dual core chips. The ATI Radeon Xpress will run Pentium D DC.

If you're running a Dell, your FSB and RAM speed is going to be tied to your CPU is it not? SPD might give you faster timings but there's no point in buying the fastest memory your chipset supports if the CPU itself is defaulted to something lower.
