RAM voltage questions ...

rudder

Lifer
Been having some trouble with my corsair XMS ram with a new biostar 6100-939 mobo. Turns out the ram voltage is set to 2.6 in the bios by default. Corsair says it needs 2.75V.

There is only an option to put it a either 2.7 or 2.8v. Is sending .05v more then necessary okay for the ram?

I have XMS ram also and I just set mine to 2.9 and everything is fine. Yours do have heat spreaders right?
2.8 should be fine for you.
