RAM upgrade

I have 4(8MB)SIMM in my computer now. I want to upgrade to 128MB and I have the Memory Configs from my manual, but I need to know if I can upgrade by adding DIMM. [According to manual "Supports 3 banks of FPM/EDO SIMM/DIMM and SDRAM DIMM memory expandable to 384MB."] There are 2-168 pin DIMM slots & 4-72 pin SIMM slots. Also according to the manual's mem config, I can't use "one" 128MB "stick?" in any of it's config schemes. All of which is okay, except that I don't know if I need a controller of any kind (I seemed to have read that somewhere). Do I just pop out the old and replace with the new? (In pairs, of course - withOUT mixing SIMM and DIMM) Lastly, the manual says the speed has to be faster than "70ns". Everything I see advertised speaks in terms of single digits ex. 7ns, 8ns, 7.5. What should I be looking for? Oops, there is one more thing; where can I get them cheaply. I have spent a lot of time and money upgrading my system with little background. So far so good, but I'm really tired now.
