I need some suggestions on my RAM upgrade. I currently have 1GiG runnning in dual channel. I planned on grabbing another dual pack from mushkin but they changed the way they name there RAM now (HP,XP or EM) and I dont know what is compatiable with my PC3500 LV II RAM.
Is it best to run 4 X 512 with my current situation or do I have other options. My specs are listed below.

current timings 2-2-2-5

Suggestions please.

The rule of thumb is, "The lesser the number of sticks you use the better off you are, except of course with Dual Channel mode" This is because you reduce the latency time by using less number of ram sticks. Also, when you start to use more ram sticks, some systems automatically default to slower ram timings. So in your case, it's preferred to sell the existing 512MB sticks and get 1 GB sticks. Of couse, that is IMO.

Thanks, looks like I be selling my current sticks and going for a 1 GIG dual pack. Hopefully I can find so Mushkin ram that can do at least
2-3-2 timings.
