Hi I have a x58 extreme mob and it is currently using tri channel gskill 6g kit. Is it possible to add a 4g ddr3 single stick that's not tri channel? Would effect is a worse way the tried channel?
 
"You may install varying memory sizes in Channel A, Channel B and Channel C.
The system maps the total size of the lower-sized channel for the dual-channel or triple-channel configuration.
Any excess memory from the higher-sized channel is then mapped for single-channel operation"
