RAM upgrade advice

Hello there,

Just upgraded to Win7 and I'm semi-interested in upgrading my RAM from 2 to 4GB.

I currently have an E8400 @ 3.6GHz and 2GB Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4 running at 4-4-4-12.

I could buy 2x2GB (5-5-5-18) for $80-90 or an additional 2GB pair (the same kit I have now) for $68 on newegg.

Obviously I'd like to save money and the timings would be better if I bought the same kit, but does 2X2GB offer better performance at all?
