Hi ya,
Is there anyway to know what type of RAM a computer is using or support without open it ? I often asked to update my friend computer. Normally, you think they would know it but most of time they dont !

Typically, if hi-speed is available, I just go to Crucial and check but if it's on dial up or not available then I have to open it up :(

Any idea ?
TIA

I think any 3dmark or PCmark has that info also, or dxdiag. CPU-Z works as well.

But it won't always tell you the brand written on the memory stick. Anyway, performance readings are perfect.
