RAM Timings?

I have 2x256MB Kingston PC3200 CL3 and I want to get my P42.6C up to 3.2Ghz stable. Could anyone tell me what my RAM timings should be?

There is no "should" other than the specified timings at the specified speed. Other than that, it is what the memory "can" do, and I honestly don't think yours can do much.

Start out by going with default, or by "spd", then just make the values (numbers) larger until you find the fastest you can go and yet be stable. It is trial and error.

Hi ,

Yeah its always better just start from derfault and tighten the RAM settings as much as it is stable .🙂

Yeah trial and error. My ocz does 1:1 at 5 3 2 2.0 which is cool. Hey phpdog, did you HAVE to up the vcore on your DFI to get 3200+ ?? Just wondering because I didn't...

I was wondering, do the RAM timings affect the overclocking ability of my CPU? I don't really care about overclocking my RAM, I'm going to change it anyways since it kinda sucks. I just can't get my CPU to run more than 2.95Ghz and I was wondering if it's my memory... I mean, at 4:5 dividers (FSB 250) It won't even boot. I tried increasing the vcore a bit but it seems to make no difference.. I'm on stock air. Damn it.
