Ram timings won't change

I'm using corsair xms pro ram the ones rated at 2-3-3-6 on a chaintech znf3-150. As the computer boots it says it's running 400 megherz and 2.5-3-3-8. So I try to change it to 2-3-3-6 and reboot it shows up the same as it used to, but in bios it says it's set to 2-3-3-6. I also tried 2-2-2-10 with no sucess either.
