ram timings, please help

ok i have a few questions about ram timings and voltages which so far no one has shed any light on yet.

my system

p4 2.26 @(2.78) 17*164 (1.55v)
corsair xms3000 cas @(ddr 410 cas2-6-3-3) default volts
epox 4g4a

my question is, any ideas why if i raise the Vdimm why the memory becomes less stable the higher i go with the juice

my second question is that if change the ram setting to (ddr 410 cas2.5-6-33) i get better memory benchmarks in sandra 2002. using the higher cas latency 2.5 i get around 3130/3130 for memory, which is around 100 higher than using cas2? i thought a lower cas delay would make them memory quicker??

any ideas on these 2 questions appreciated 🙂 🙂

Inadequate cooling of the RAM is probably the cause (it runs hotter as Vdimm increases. Also, it could just be instable with a higher voltage (they run it at the default vcore for a reason).

For the other question, something must be wrong. Cas 2 is faster than Cas 2.5. Are you sure all of the other settings are the same?
