Ram timing?

I just recently updated my comp with PNY pc 133 RAM. 1 Stick of 128 and 1 stick of 64. It has cycle time 7.5 and access time 5.4 ns. But doesn't say anyhting about cas 2 or 3. i treied to use it in cas 2 at 133 Mhz and everything went blank!!! with a sound like its going to die and then i couldn't get it back till I cleared the cmos and got the default setting. Now i am running at cas 3 and 133. Can anyone tell me if PNY memory runs at cas 2 at 133Mhz? One of them has Huyndai(128 Mb one) and other one had infenion 64 Mb) chip.

PNY is just about a 1/10 of a step above generic, infact you could get away with calling it generic. If CAS timing isnt listed, it's CAS3, and PNY sucks.

hmm i guess its little too late for me. !!! I already got it. Was just wondering that infenion is heard to be a good chip!! Is that not true?

Infenion is fairly respected, but since PNY does "quality" ram they probably dont get the best yeilds from them. Just run it at its rated speed, 133, and you'll be fine.

Thanks for the advice. I will remember it for the next RAM!!! A quick question though. Is Kingston equally bad as PNY?
