200 @ 2-2-2-6
sandra scores:
2960/2749

or

209 @ 2-3-3-6
sandra scores:
3095/2855

or

i've also tried 218
218@2-3-3-7
sandra scores:
3236/2979

of these three... should i run it with the faster timing or higher mhz?

i forgot to mention

cpu speed:

200 x 12 = ~2405

209 x 11.5 = ~2413

218 x 11 = ~2401

11 x 218 is however the slowest but i don't think 12 mhz will make that big of a difference... or will it :Q

i tried 228 x 10.5 but it'll get stuck while doing ram check... i assume that 228 is too fast for my pc3200 hehehe....

maybe it's time to try some pc3700!!! :)

1 or 2. Increased bandwidth at equal clockspeeds doesn't mean too much if you are relaxing your timings. I read a recent review (I'll try and dig up the link) of Corsair XMS 3200LL showing significant decreases in performance when relaxing your timings.

Here's the linky

I'm guessing he means real world performance... play some games, check frame rates... maybe edit some video, or take about 500 MB of files and ZIP them. Video and ZIP would also be limited by the CPU... THUG can probably recommend some other tests you can do... I can't think of any others off the top of my head.

Shimmishim, the stickied thread at the top of this forum has links to a bunch of them....3DMark2001se, X-Isle, UT2003, etc....I'm interested in your results also...:)

run any gaming benchmarks you can find~

3dmark2000 (in 32bit mode), 3dmark2001, and ut2k3 demo are excellent for testing cas settings.

my divx software doesnt include anything i could use as a reliable benchmark test ~ Duvie and i are still working on all that, but its gonna take awhile.
