Do any of you guys have good suggestions of software RAM testers?
I've used the RAM test in Norton 2001 but I don't trust it.
I installed some RAM the other day and it tested fine with Norton. So I started using it without problems, one crash which I didn't blame on the RAM (but should have). I installed the D2 X Pak on the weekend and started getting Access Violations and other errors, I tried new video drivers and changing CDROM settings as Blizzard's site suggests. Nothing worked, so finally I just decided to pull the RAM out and OMFG the problem went away.
So my question is what software exists that I cna trust to test and actually report problems with bad RAM. Because obviously the test Norton 2001 does is not all it's meant to be. (On an up note, it did test a friend's RAM as bad bought from the same store at the same time).
