You don't need expensive ram to OC. Just get value ram and run a divider, you will get a minimal performance hit and save about $100.

On an A64, you don't need fancy RAM to OC. You can get some good 2x512MB sets for $60-70 AR (Mushkin, Kingmax) some places, or for $113 you can get some intermediate-high performance 2x512MB stuff (G.skill 2-3-3-6, some Twinmos that sometimes has good chips that go to 250-something FSB).

In any application, you'd probably see much more benefit having a gig of regular RAM than half a gig of OMGWTFTEHCL2PEECEEFOURTHOUSAND memory.

seriously?

I already have some 2x512mb Mushkin stuff laying around. So that'll oc just as good as expensive ram?

Is it hard? i mean when i oc all i do is just bump the fsb until it gets unstable then i give up.
