RAM speed question

I have 1gig(2x512) of corsair xms pc3500 ram. its rated at 2.5, 3, 3, 8

I also have 1gig(2x512) of corsair xms pc3700 ram. its rated at 3, 4, 4, 8

If im running the fsb @ 200mhz I'm better of using the pc3500 correct? I cant get either pair above 225mhz anyways so I want to go with the lower timings right??

Yes lower timing is better.

If you can't push either pair above 225 something else is holding your RAM back. Did you try OCing the RAM only?
 
yeah. iv just never had luck with this system. its an ic7-g w/ p4 3.0
even with the ram voltage on 2.8 its not stable at 230 or higher.
