I had 2 512mb kingston pc 3200 400mhz ram, it runs at 400mhz dual channel. Recently i got 2 samsung 512mb pc 3200 400mhz ram, and filled my slots. However now it runs at 333mhz dual channel? is it suppose to be slower?? or is that correct?

Also if it stays that way... is 1 gig at 400mhz better or 2gig at 333mhz ?

my motherboard is Asus A8N-E, athlon 3700+ SD

Thanks very much.

Asus boards are like that for some reason, i have the A8R32 mvp deluxe and it does the same thing. I went from 2GB@400 to 3GB@333 and i noticed a pretty big difference, especially in gaming.
I would use the 2GB vs. the 1GB option, the difference will be big.
