Is there a noticable difference between CAS2 and CAS3? Is it worth the extra cost to get high quality ram or will average stuff work? What about for overclocking?

Sorry, let me clarify!! I'm getting PC133 128 meg ram for a Abit KT7-Raid motherboard, IBM 75GXP HD, Thunderbird 800....Will using CAS3 cause a noticeable delay in my system?

No, not a big difference, alhough, getting high quality RAM is always a good idea (curcial, micron)

My CAS 3 Crucial PC133 can run at CAS 2 with no problems

The difference in performance between running RAM @ CAS/RAS BIOS settings of 2-2-2 vs. 3-3-3 is about 3%, or the equivalent of around 20-30 MHz. This is per a memory article of AnandTech's and another article I saw earlier this year. That small a difference is not noticeable to most people, I believe. It might be better to have more RAM than RAM with a lower latency.
