What do the timing settings mean for the ram? There's auto, normal, medium, fast, and turbo, but what does each refer to? Right now I'm running at turbo and it's seem to be working well but I can't run CAS2 (Running at PC133). I'm using 7.5ns(I think) PC133 Hyundai 128MB from PNY. I'm thinking about returning this ram and getting ram from Mushkin. If I went with the Mushkin, which ones do you reccommend? I was thinking on either the PC150 or the PC133 Rev.2. Thanks.

Hi,
I have mushkin Rev 1.5 and I'm running it CAS2 and Turbo and it works fine on the KT7-RAID. Don't know what turbo means though. Rev. 1.5 is good up to 110FSB + 33Mhz, well at least the two sticks I got.

I tweaked all I could on my KT7. Latest bios, turbo everything, overclocked the bus. Tweaked and Tweaked some more. Here is my overclocked Sandra 2000 scores.

and I have the latest board revision 1.01 and am running Micronics PC133 CAS2 at 222 - T-Bird 750 at 915 Mhz.

And I have the latest bios from the Abit website. It made a big difference. You should be able to top this if you have a 1 GHz CPU

My Sandra scores were a bit lower which I'm probably guessing was due to the ram. I'll try and convince my dad on getting new ram and returning the old and checking out that. Do you know if there's any difference between the Mushkin Rev.2 PC133 and the Memman Mosel Tested CAS2 ram that's on their frontpage? Thanks in advance.

For extra performance, turn on "4-way memory interleaving" and enable "Fast R-W Turnaround" as well. Also, under the Soft Menu III section, enable an option called "DRAM 4K something-something," I can't remember it off the top of my head.

Ok, I found out the name of that option. It's under the Soft Menu III selection, near the bottom, go and enable "DRAM 4K Page Mode." Should give you an added boost. Also make sure you're running your ram at 133mhz by putting the CLK SPEED at HOST + PCI CLK if you haven't done so already.
