RAM recommendations for Ryzen 3 2200g build

Hi,

I am planning to build a budget PC for my dad who is not a gamer. Computer will be used solely for Youtube and regular internet browsing.

Based on those criteria, I decided that 8gb of ram will suffice for those purposes.

I would likely purchase the RAM during Black Friday deals and wanted to get some suggestions as to what kind of RAM would operate best with the Ryzen 3 2200G APU.

Should I spend a bit more and go with the pricier 2x4gb configuration vs. the single slot 8gb?
Also, what speed do you guys recommend? Should I really aim for 3000-3200 speeds? Will it really maximize performance?

My motherboard choice is:
GIGABYTE GA-AB350M-DS3H

Thanks

I would go for 2x4GB DDR4-3000 memory and a Crucial MX500 500GB SSD. That will give your dad the best performance.

That is s what I wanted to do as well in terms of speed and modules. It is just that I see a lot of builds on pcpartpicker with the Ryzen 3 2200g using the 1x8gb module configuration. I guess because it is cheaper and they think that 8gb=8gb, which is not necessary the same.
I already bought the Samsung 860EVO 250gb, which should be plenty considering I'm also going to use an old internal 320gb HDD for data storage.

Would you advice only buying G.Skill and Corsair ram?
I see brands such as Team T-Force or Patriot which are cheaper. Are they just as reliable?

I've using Crucial brand memory since late 1999 but I don't think they higher then DDR4-2666. Don't know about other brands.
