Hello,
Like many of you with the Dimension 4550's, I'm trying to upgrade my RAM. The PC3200 and PC2700 prices are quite similar...would it be worth my time to just buy the PC3200 so I could possibly use it for future systems? Would the PC3200 work with the PC2700 RAM already in the Dimension 4550? As I understand it, because the Intel motherboard doesn't support PC3200, it would just default to
PC2700 (ie, is it backwards compatiable)? Is this correct?
Thanks!
