what manufacturer uses an "LD" in a circle on the chips ?
I have this stick of ram, and none of the numbers that are on it anywhere do anything in google. I was just wondering if anyone knows who makes this stick. I can get a pic in a few hours.
It has a sticker with a scanner and a part number. the part number is LMBFBB2300005.

Its not playing nice with my 440bx boards. It either recognizes as 128mb (its a 256) or it just doesnt see it at all :\ I figure its an incompatiblity issue.

What CPU do you have? Slot 1 or Socket 370 (Ok I'm too lazy to look up)? Did the memory work before in the same motherboard?

That memory is probably high-density which will not work on the BX board as you found out. It either won't be recognized or only count as 128M.
