Ram question

Alright guys this ones a tuffy...ok here goes...Which setup would you guys recommend...

1)1GB Corsair XMS all by itself...high speeds...cas latency 2

2)1GB Corsair XMS+512MB crappy ram...would run at about 200Mhz altogether...cas latency would have to be 2.5

So basically...which is better for mostly gaming scenarios...1GB of ram at high speeds and low timings OR 1.5Gb's of ram at normal speeds and normal timings(2.5-3-3-6)?

I would take #2. Athlon64's are pretty insensitive to ram speed(except for AM2) and timings don't make that much of a difference
