I am quite new to OC'ing, but plan on giving it a shot (with some assistance fom knowledgable friends). I have an Opteron 148, Asus A8R32-MVP deluxe, and currently 2x512 3200 Corsair XMS that I purchased at least two years ago for an old Athlon XP system.
My quetion is, if I am to oc this pc, would it be better to have faster ram such as 4000, or will it make much of a difference. Also, should I get a different brand of ram, or newer ram. My friend bought the same Ram recently and complains that he can't oc it cause it sucks. I am a total newb to oc'ing and just need the input.
