RAM Question

So I found a deal at Frye's today for ddr2. Got 2x512 OCZ sticks for $50. But it doesn't have heat spreaders. Should I figure out a way to make sure they are cool or can you put heatspreaders on them??? I will be doing minor overclocking occasionally.

You can just buy generic heat spreader or don't use one at all. I've never used heat spreader and never had problems. And I'm oc'ing!

They'll be fine, heatspreaders are optional. If you needed them they'd be included.

and without knowing the exact model you are talking about, I'd say he's right in general here.

I've had several reports from people and my own experience as well says a 120 mm fan hung blowing on the RAM will do alot more for your ability to clock and keep your timings tight than any spreader can.
