Ram question

IS there a difference in PC2-4200 and pc-4200 ? Cause I'm about to buy ram but it says pc2-4200 and I know I have pc-4200 in there right now? Will they still work good ?

link to the ram, as long as they are bothh DDR2 then there would be no difference.

if your computer takes ddr2 then that will work. could be a misprint or their way of differentiating ddr and ddr2

Yeh I think pc2 just means DDR2 memory, Thanks alot for the help. But if anyone knows what it means please post here, cause I'd hate to buy the wrong Ram, it's usualy a pain to return ram when you bought the wrong kind.

They are different modules...
DDR 4200 is a 184 pin DIMM and the DDR2 4200 is a 240 pin DIMM.

The PC2 or DDR2 will not fit in your computer if it uses PC-4200 DDR memory.

No I have a combo motherboard, it has ddr2 slots and ddr slots, so I can still get the pc2-4200 ramm right ?

You can..but it won't use both regular DDR and DDR2 at the same time..
