RAM question ... mixing 266 w/ 400 (4 chips)

I already have 2x256 of 266 in my p4c800-e dlx from some older RAM i had lying around. I want to upgrade to 2x512 of 400. Would i be able to run all 4 chips for 1.5 gb of ram total, or would the 400 slow down to 266. Also, would it then be better to simply run the 2x512 chips. My current cpu is a p4 1.6 oc'd between 1.7 and 1.9 depending on what i'm doing. However in the month I'm planning on getting a 2.8+ HT, depending on budget at the time. What would be the best setup? I do lots of gaming and photo/graphic/web design stuff as well. Thanks for the help

The 400 would run at the speed of the 266. I would say go ahead and run all 4 sticks until you uprgrade your CPU, then take out the sloer ram.
