So I'm starting up a new build and have quite a few components already. I have the Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128592) and under Newegg specs for RAM, it says:

DDR3 3000(O.C.) / 2933(O.C.) / 2800(O.C.) / 2666(O.C.) / 2600(O.C.) / 2500(O.C.) / 2400(O.C.) / 2200(O.C.) / 2133(O.C.) / 2000(O.C.) / 1866(O.C.) / 1800(O.C.) / 1600 / 1333

What does the O.C. mean? I'm guessing overclock, but never really heard of people overclocking ram. I'm thinking of just sticking to 1600 ram, but I'm curious about the other clocks.

You're right, O.C. means overclocked. If you visit Intel's website you will see the ram listed as 1333 or 1600 and that's it. It's just what Haswell officially supports at stock but it's capable of much faster ram speeds.

So does that mean I can buy any of the RAM speeds mentioned? Or would I need to overclock the RAM?
