Hey, all

I'm currently running a k7v mobo, 128ram 1ghz. Anyway The problem is I installed 256 more ram today in hopes that I'd have 384ram altogether. I turned on my pc and only had 256ram. I tried switching slots. Also when i took out the 128 stick my pc said I was down to 128 ram while the 256 chip was in the pc. Is the RAM defective? or am I an idiot? lol

Maybe ur 256 stick is CAS-3 and ur bios is set to CAS-2
also, If you're overcloked, try lowering the BUS speed maybe..

maybe.
I said maybe..

most likely the ram is not defective but it's the wrong density for the m/board. you'll need to exchange it!
