Just curious as to what others might think about ram prices on a 512MB stick PC 32000 DDR from good quality manufactures ie, kingston, crucial, corsair, etc. Do you think prices will go up or down in the future? Would DDR2 affect prices anytime soon as manufactures start producing more of that stuff.

DDR2 won't really lower DDR1 prices. Just look at SDR RAM prices, they are the same as DDR1 RAM prices.
As fo general supply/demand price fluctuations, it's almost impossible to say how prices are gonna be in a couple of months.

probly about the same for next few years, faster than 3200 will probly come down some more and larger chips i.e. 1 gig sticks might get a little cheaper but not too much

k thanks for the input. I will probably wait a bit to get more RAM for my main system and instead use some of that money on upgrading my digital cam from a 1megapixel HP C200 Photosmart to an Olympus C-765 4megapixel from newegg. I realy need new digital camera more then RAM then down the road when I can add Ram to my system or rebuild my system alltoghether ;)

I'm a bit tight on funds right now so thats why I cant do both at once.
