Hi I'm new to the board. I just got myself a MSI K7T266 Pro2 board and it was running absolutely great until yesterday morning. I noticed that my computer has crashed for no reason. When I rebooted I noticed that I lost 128mb of RAM. Originally I had 768mb and it dropped to 644mb. The RAM in the first slot was half fried, it will only detect as 128mb.
I'm wondering if its the board that fried this RAM (perhaps too much voltage going to the first DIMM slot or I just have a bad RAM. Right now I have another 256mb RAM placed in, and it seems to be detected fine. Does anyone know if MSI has an issue with frying RAM or do I just have a defective RAM? Thanks.
