Ram or CPU

Ok, so I think I have decided to build myself a gaming machine. I have two options.

Option 1:
2x 1GB DDR Memory
3200+ Venice
(Hope to OC a little)

Option 2:
2x 512 MB DDR Memory
3500+ New Castle or Venice

Which would be better for a gaming rig and for the long run? I am concerned with the loss of performance when using an AMD with more than 2 dimms of memory.

Option 1 definately, the 3200 will perform well in todays and probably tomorrows games. 1GB will be ample for future games but 2GB will definately be a plus.

I voted for option 1, since there isnt a wide performance gap between a 3200 and a 3500. Unless you have special needs, 1 gig should be more than what is needed though.
