i have one TwinMOS 512 mb and one CORSAIR ValueSelect 512MBm which run in dual channel with no problems....i just bought today another 512 pny but when i put it in the third slot the ram does not get detected at all, and when i put it in the 4rth only 512 mb of ram shows up, i dont have the latest bios i think i have 3.8 and theres a 3.9 , but what else can i do for my motherboard to detect the ram ?

my mother board is a msi rs480m2

Did you make sure that the RAM is seated correctly? Just wondering. I remember that I didn't do that on my first build and same results as yours happened. Good luck!

Need to try the ram by itself and see if it is even detected or to make sure it is not defective. Then add the remaining sticks one at a time. If it still does not get detected by itself then it is defective. If it gets detected by itself but will not work with the either of the other two sticks, make sure it is of the same type, i.e. Non ECC or ECC.
