Ram not being detected on the EVGA 680i

Hi, i have 4x 1gb 4-4-4-12 ram.

I was running with 2 gigs perfectly fine. i recently bought 2 more gigs and put them in, for some reason its saying i have 2.5g of ram. Any ideas?

It's possible that your motherboard cannot support 4 gig's of RAM. Check the Specs and see how much RAM it supports.

I believe the 680i supports upto 8Gb (I guess that may depend on the OS). I would load the latest BIOS and if all else fails contact EVGA. They have pretty good customer support.

BTW I have heard about some memory issues with the 680i.
