I have one the G.Skill RipjawsX 4gb 1333MHz, and the G.Skill Ripjaws 4gb 1600MHz is currently available for sale. Will using them together be problematic?

Should I wait for the former to become available?

I think you're discussing the augmentation of a single RipJawsX module with a single RipJaws ("-GBRL") 4GB module?

Given the prices for 2x4GB=8GB kits of either model, I don't see why you don't just chuck the DDR3-1333 module and buy a 2x4GB kit of DDR3-1600's.

I'd be WILLING TO BET that you can mix the two different sticks, but you'd likely need to run them at DDR3-1333 speed. And before PLACING MY BET, I'd assure myself that the latencies and voltage specs for the two models overlap at that speed. It's likely short of dead certainty that they do, but line up those ducks before you punch a "check-out" button.

Third world budgets don't go high, man.

Could you check the links I posted and see if the voltage and timings are compatible?

what CPU and Mobo\Chipset do you have?
if your CPU and Chipset only support 1333mhz then the 1600mhz ram will just run at 1333mhz which is fine.

I would suggest buying the ram, since you only have 4GB now, 8GB will make a nice difference, also it will run dual channel (as long as you populate your ram sockets correct) so you should see a nice improvement.

Unless your CPU and mobo\chipset support 1600mhz, then you could replace your current 1333mhz ram with dual channel 1600mhz RAM, but the performance increase isn't huge, maybe 4-5%

Both modules have identical voltage (1.5V) and identical timings. They *should* work together at the lowest frequency (1333MHz). It's better to let us know your motherboard model.

What CPU do you have? Your Motherboard supports 1600Mhz, but the performance increase over 1333Mhz isn't that big.

I can only advice on getting something with a return policy, in case they do not match.

I would say the same. Both should run at those timings/voltage/ and the lower clock speed.
