Another noob question here, so please forgive me in advance. I bought this PQI RAM here

http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16820141224

with the understanding that lower latency was better, and it shows the cas latency as being 4. Installed the 2 1Gb modules, and PC recognized it immediately. Ran CPUZ, and it shows the following...cas latency as 5

Photos MAY NOT be sfw

5-5-5-15

Can I lower my timings, and if so...how?

is the first column better?

Currently have an ASUS MB running a LGA775 P4 3.6Ghz CPU, OC'd to 3.97Ghz.

Thanks to all for the help, or calling me an idiot...either way! :)

Boot into the Asus bios and set the memory timings to manual to match what is in the middle column on the cpu-z screenshot. Afterwards test for stability.

Change them in the Asus bios by choosing manual and set the correct latencies to 4-4-4-12. Try saving those 3+MB .bmp screenshots as a .jpg to save bandwidth. IRFanview will allow you to paste the screen captures and save as .jpg or another compressed file. :)
