Ram Instillation

OK, I got some RAM from crucial.com

I try and install it, go to my desktop, right click on my computer, it says 128, when I should have 256, wtf?

It's all in, plugged in, correctly put in, I don't get it, plxz help.

I don't have that, it's weird...it just gives me the win98 splash and starts on up..
