RAM Install problems.

So I just got my OCZ (Nanya) PC2400 Ram,and I took out my friends SD Ram i was using and put the DDR in. I powered on the pc and everything seemed fine but my mointor wasnt getting a signal. I put the sd back in and everything works...im using the ecs k7s5a motherboard. Anyone know what might be the problem?

my friend suggested that i clear the cmos...anyone else know if this will work?

it shoulda worked right off the bat...since its a jumperless motherboard. I could only say that its possibly bad ram.
