Ram Help

I'm looking to get a couple 1gig sticks of ram for an Asus A8V E motherboard. How much faster do you think my system will be for video editing choosing ram with 2-3-2-5 over ram with 3-3-3-7 timings. Currently I have a A64 3000+ but I will be upgrading it to a dual-core system whenever thats possible. Any opinions appreciated.
