RAM heatsinks covering the entire ram module; is this bad?

I've been thinking about posting this question for a few days now. I was looking at the Absolute GF3 Morpheus review and came across this picture. Notice how the RAM heatsinks cover the ram completely, not leaving any room for air? Wouldn't this be bad? I do understand some of that thermal dynamics type stuff, but I thought electronic componenets needed air to "breathe" Obviously w/this setup, no air is getting to the chips themselves. It is a pretty card though. me\<--wipes drool off chin

What do you guys think?

? all that matters is that air can reach the heatsink. it doesnt matter underneath. =)

There is no problem there. That's how my GlobalWin FDP32 covers my Celeron 366@550. Also think (if you've seen) RAMBUS memory modules they are completely enclosed in a "heat spreader" which is rivited to the PCB.

OK guys, thanks for the education. I can now safely dream of buying this card, with no fear of it burning up. *Hears Aerosmith song "Dream On"*
