RAM Heatsink peeling away?

So in an effort to figure out what's wrong with my computer I've been looking at pretty much every component. So far I have it narrowed down to either a faulty PSU, mobo, or RAM. One thing I noticed while inspecting my hardware is that the heatsink on my RAM has started to peel away from the sticks. I'm not sure why, but I think it may be a heat issue since when I touch the modules they are what I would consider hot.

What I have installed is some OCZ Platinum running at 2.0 volts, I have an ASUS P5W DH DX mobo, and that's the voltage that I've needed to run it at just to keep it stable. This system has gone a full 5 years without any issues and I've been running into a bunch of them now.

The question is, OCZ has a lifetime warranty on their modules, but I'm wondering if there are any other steps I should take before requesting an RMA. Personally, I think that the spreader peeling away should be enough, after all I don't overclock. Everything in my system is stock.

So far I've been getting random sluggish behaviour, BSODs, and write failures as well. I thought that this was a hard drive issue, but I've since replaced the hard drive and I am still seeing the same symptoms.

Should I just go ahead and RMA my RAM, or are there other diagnostics and such I should do beforehand?

Thanks.

Run Memtest over night and see if you get any fails....
