RAM Guaranteed to run at DDR466?

I know there's PC3700 RAM floating around, but I'm wondering how reliable it is. I don't want RAM that MIGHT work at 233 Mhz... is there anything guaranteed?

There is PC4000 memory floating around (guaranteed at 250). There is also PC4200 out (guaranteed at 266). Newegg sells both as do most major online retailers.

I think everything at that speed has terrible latency settings like 3-4-4-8 though.

OCZ EL pc3700 will most likely run 250 mhz

Well, I've seen people with HyperX PC3500 that won't even run at 200 Mhz at it's rated timings. That's the kind of reliability I'm talking about.

Anyone have experience with Buffalo PC3700? If I upgrade, I'm planning on using 1 GB... 2x512

I have used Buffalo before in a friends system and it ran at its rating no problems. (Dual DDR)

And I haven't ever read anything here where people complained about it. (Take from that whay you will..... )

OCZ EL is rated cas2.5 for the pc3700

XMS is 3
hyperX is 3

I just tested 2 X 256 Buffalo Technology PC3700. It uses Winbond BH5 chips. It's marked 'CL3'.

Tested in dual-channel synchronous mode, 5X multiplier used, 1.84Vdd.
Runs 2/2/2/6 timings to 220MHz FSB @ 2.77Vdimm, Memtest-stable.
Runs 2.5/2/2/6 timings to 230MHz FSB @ 2.9Vdimm, Memtest-stable.
Best memory bandwidth with Tras latency of 7.

Couldn't get it Memtest-stable at 235MHz. I'm limited to 2.9Vdimm. I didn't test 233MHz (DDR466), just 5 MHz steps.

$128 shipped from Newegg.

I don't know if it's lucky or not, but I read a review that twinmos 3700 did 252mhz at 2.5-3-3-7. Not sure what they put the voltage to get there. It's only $110 for 512 sticks.

high quality memory runs tighter than advertised. the OCZ el will most likely do cas 2 but the buffalo is a better value

get the OCZ. Its good stuff. Their 3700 EL memory is prob. the best 3700 memory you can get. Otherwise Mushkin PC 3500 Level 2 memory is excellent, but you might not hit 466.

OCZ Gold is not for AMD boards. There is a disclaimer on OCZ site about that and you better believe it.
