RAM for my DELL Precision 450

Hi,

I would like to upgrade the RAM in my DELL Precision 450. (This is my last DELL computer in my office, I recently broke down, followed your advice, and built my newest computer from scratch. Is awesome!).

Do I need to buy the RAM from DELL? would prefer to buy from NEWEGG if possible.
DELL told me it would be $185 per 1G of RAM, and I nee to buy 2...They said it is DDR SDRAM...PC 2100... 266 Megahertz....

Can I buy some 3rd party RAM? what do i need to be careful for in terms of specs? any recommendations?

Thanks!

yes, you can. I would get it from crucial or get corsair or kingston.
Sunds like this is for a business/office machine. In that case, I would lean toward the known stability and reliabilty of Crucial or Kingston instead of Corsair.
