Hi Guy's I need to complete 25 post so I am going to ask questions that I can't get a specific answer for by searching.

I am doing a new build

I5-4670k
Not sure motherboard yet.

But the question is I am looking for gaming RAM
something that will push my performance to the max

Any input and the why you would recommend that RAM

Not true by definition. I can go out and buy 2133MHz or faster RAM. Not saying it isn't good RAM... I have some... but it's not the Best and Fastest RAM evarrr, so please stop it.

OP, a set of 1600MHz RAM will work very well for gaming... you can dump more money on faster RAM, but you will not see much of a difference, if at all. If you are gaming, put your money into the GPU.

By definition what other Brand has the range and can scale like that Samsung MV-3V4G3D/US between 1.35 to 1.5v I suggest for $89 - You give another example and reason why the OP should buy something other for that price.

I was fortunate to get 16GB's of it for $96 CDN Shipped from NewEgg last year when it was available and ram was 1/2 the price of what it is today.

Generally in Canada NCIX, NewEgg and BestDirect have better prices then CanadaComputers. Amazon.ca is a farce.

NOTE: You risk damaging the MCP of an Intel SB CPU if you run DDR3 over 1.5v. An IB processor may be lower.

One thing I do agree with is that Ram is not that important when it comes to Gaming but one is not always gaming.

Stock Samsung RAM timings are 11-11-11-28 @ 1600MHz. There is great potential to OC and tweak that speed and timings, but I don't know if the OP is willing to OC or risk system stability problems trying to get good numbers rather than buying new RAM for a reasonable cost. I wouldn't recommend used RAM, either, unless I was confident of the source.

I will take the OP at his word... as stated in his title that he needs RAM for gaming...

For playing high end games you need atleast 4gb of ram. This is the basic need otherwise for playing normal games 2 gb ram is okk.

With a modern Windows system (Vista and up) I would recommend a minimum of 4GB, preferably 8GB (especially for gaming, in this case.) The OP is looking for performance...

AT did an article last fall on Haswell's effectiveness, which showed that gaming systems with discrete GPUs didn't show a huge boost in framerates unless a multi-GPU setup was used (on CrossFire anyway). The performance/cost benefit seems to balance at 1866MHz.

Any DDR3L rated at or below 1.35v should be able to hit that from a comfortable overclock, if not at stock. DDR3L is rated for a lower voltage but ALL DDR3 is made to handle 1.5v per JEDEC. The G.Skill Sniper 1.25v is probably the best for this, though I'm guessing they drop ship from G.Skill for Canada Computers. Newegg.ca has it in stock and for cheaper. Bestdirect and NCIX are backordered.

Just buy 8GB of either 1333 or 1600Mhz RAM.

The gains moving up to 1866Mhz or higher just aren't worth the price if you just play games.

I don't think you can see any game performance was affected by the RAM speed. The bottle neck almost never at there. Unless you already max out all other component (including RAM size), there is no point to buy any expensive RAM with higher speed.

Of course you can always pay more to make yourself feel better, but I don't think you can really feel any difference for gaming.
