In another thread someone recommended some G.skill DDR3 4GB for $91 at newegg.

I browsed a bit and saw there are a number of similar choices, some I'm not sure what the difference was, but I saw on set that's CL7 for $125.

The user reviews say it will definitely work even though it requires BIOS settings, aqnd that's why it's only marketed for Intel.

Should I consider some other RAM like this, is the CL 7 worth it, or just get the $91 ram?

These days it's not worth paying any kind of premium for "Low latency" memory, unless you're going to do some hard OCing or you simply use it as an indicator of module quality (I take latency into consideration as a quality factor).
For regular performance... Latency doesn't matter.

Going with 1.5v DDR3 is a wise choice. I personally don't care for OCZ, but do like G.Skill, Mushkin, Corsair (XMS line) or even A-Data.

A-data gamer 1600 has been working great for me! Running at 1650 right now iirc 9-9-9-24 @ 1.7v. Blaine, why do you favor 1.5v mem?

remember that ocz spd is listed at 1.65v but it boots default at 1.5v on my asus with those timings so after a few days I found that was my instability, dumb way of getting a bad rep
