Looking to upgrade and OC an A64 3000+ winchester to 2.6 speeds with the EP-9NDA3J NVIDIA nForce3 ULTRA Chipset Motherboard within the next couple of weeks. Need suggestion on Ram.

I thought of trying to OC with my Corsair XMS pc3200 Cas2.5 ram. But I hear with the locked multiplier on A64 chips, that I won't be using a 1:1 ration on FSB overclock with cpu and ram. Therefore, if the corsairs are not the best choice in this case for target OC of 2.6Ghz, then please let me know what ram to get.

You can still overclock to 2.6 GHz, run a divider, and notice no performance loss because you're not running 1:1. Link Use anything PC2100 or above and you're fine.

BTW,
That was very good real life research by Zebo and deserves serious kudos but you should also note the differences were minimal because he used 1 GIG of ram. In that setup 1 gig was essentially overkill so you would get good results and see minimal differences. If he had used 512 of ram differences would be much larger IMHO. The most recent game tested was FarCry which is now a bit dated and 1 gig was fairly high end for Far Cry rigs.

There have been lots of research on dividers and generally it has been shown to limit your performance.

The highest scores have been shown to be with OCZ EL plat rev. 2 and other TCCD chips.

I do think Zebo's basic thesis that a better vid card will help a gamer more than expensive ram is accurate of course. A better vid card offers more and better used ... RAM.

Zebo is using Ballistix himself for a reason:)
