Ram failure or video?...

Left my computer on to install bad company 2. Came back few hours later
and computer came up with three short beeps.

Prior to this computer started and then Shutted off and restarted itself..

Also out of a few trial an errors I did, the computer rang out 3 short beeps 3 times only out of 6-7 trials.

Is it ram or my video card?

What does your MB documentation say 3 short beeps indicate?

This morning I took out the ram and started the computer. 1 long beepn2 short beeps. Then I took out the video card and placed the ram back in, 3 short beeps. Both together, no beeps, could it be themotherboard?

You need to look up the manual for your mobo and find out what those beeps mean.

I tried my video card and ram on my fiends computer
and it both worked.. Can it be the motherboard?

yup. coulda fried the cpu and motherboard. seen it happen due to bad power supply. thank god for nbd on-site support 😉
